Every quote starts with an estimate: someone reads the project PDFs and the customer's emails and turns them into a bill of materials. It is skilled, time-consuming work, and it sets how fast the business can respond to a bid.
Connected to Yolm Spark, a newly released AI model produced the bill of materials with 96% accuracy in our test. Then two of the customer's estimators ran a complex real project through an off-the-shelf AI assistant, with Spark supplying the PDFs and emails straight from their Yolm system. It got most of the bill of materials right on the first attempt.
There is refinement ahead, and the estimators stay in the loop. The direction is clear: faster quotes, better estimates, and hours back for the people doing the engineering.
